Companionship and practical support for our local community
No one should have to face difficult seasons of life alone. Our Community Welfare Outreach Programme provides companionship, practical support and a friendly connection for elderly, isolated, sick, bereaved and vulnerable members of our local community.
Through our church volunteer visiting ministry, trained volunteers make regular visits to individuals and families, offering a listening ear, encouragement and genuine friendship.
Sometimes a simple conversation can make a big difference.
Our volunteers take time to listen, understand individual circumstances and identify practical needs.
Where appropriate, we may help with things such as meals, errands and other everyday support, working with our wider volunteer network to respond to identified needs.
We also run community drop-in and warm space sessions, providing a welcoming environment where people can come together, find support and connect with others.
Our care doesn't have to end when a visit is over. Where appropriate, we maintain friendly follow-up contact with individuals and families, helping people feel remembered, valued and connected to their community.
We work within appropriate safeguarding boundaries and, where specialist support is needed, help signpost people to relevant services.
Our Safeguarding Commitment →Our programme is open to people in the wider community, regardless of background or church involvement.
At the heart of our outreach is a simple commitment:
To see people, hear their stories and walk alongside them when they need support.
