Our Biblical Convictions
At The Spirit Life Cherubim and Seraphim Church, UK, our beliefs are rooted in the Holy Scriptures and centred on the Lord Jesus Christ. We are committed to teaching the Word of God with simplicity and giving the Spirit of God expression.
We believe that the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It reveals His will for humanity and serves as the final authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, conduct, and practice.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things—sovereign, holy, loving, and just.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, and proclaimed the truth of God’s Kingdom. He was crucified, died, and was buried as a sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. On the third day, He rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven, and now sits at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor and advocate.
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the divine Comforter, Teacher, and Empowerer who dwells within all believers. He convicts of sin, regenerates the heart, enables holy living, bestows spiritual gifts, and equips believers for Christian service and witness.
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but received as a gift from God through repentance and faith in the death and resurrection of Christ. All who believe are justified, adopted as children of God, and granted eternal life.
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all who believe in Him. It exists to worship God, edify believers, proclaim the gospel, and serve humanity.
We believe that Christians are called to live lives of holiness, integrity, compassion, and service. Guided by the Holy Spirit, believers are to reflect Christ’s character in all they do—showing love, promoting peace, and meeting the needs of the poor, the sick, and the disadvantaged.
We believe in the responsibility of all believers to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to raise disciples who will serve Him faithfully.
We believe that Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly to judge the living and the dead. Those who trust in Him will receive everlasting life in the presence of God. Those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God.
In obedience to Christ’s command to love our neighbours, we are committed to relieving poverty, supporting the vulnerable, and promoting the wellbeing of the elderly and disadvantaged.
