Finding employment can be challenging, particularly when you are unsure where to start, returning to work, changing careers or facing barriers to employment. Community Opportunity is our church-led programme designed to help people take practical steps towards employment and greater economic independence.
We provide a welcoming environment where people can receive encouragement, develop practical skills and gain greater confidence in their search for work.
Our programme can help with areas such as:
Preparing and improving your CV
Completing job applications
Developing interview skills and confidence
Searching for suitable employment opportunities
Understanding workplace expectations
Identifying skills, strengths and career goals
Signposting to relevant training and employment services
